Salvation Mountain



Continuing down the east coast of the Salton Sea, you come across the small town of Niland, California. A couple of miles east of Niland is the “theological” art installation known as Salvation Mountain. A labor of love for the late Leonard Knight, it has developed a following in the outsider art movement and has also been featured in numerous films and music videos. It has a honeycomb of grottoes:
