Endless Summer Redux

Coney Island(?), circa 1961, photographer unknown

So fine so young
Living in an endless summer
But summer had to end
Now we’re left to wonder

Does the sun still warm the sand?
Does the surf still kiss the shore?
Memories are like a band
Can we hear it play once more÷

Oh yes she does
She dances in the waves
Oh yes she does
She's in the lovely haze

Time moves on it's true
But our hearts they remain
Searching for something new
Yet it’s all the same

Oh yes she does
She dances in the waves
Oh yes she does
She's in the lovely haze

Endless summer days
Will return again soon
In our dreams we gaze
Underneath the moon
