I heard this phrase today and wondered at it's meaning.The quote I heard was"Lick 'em good, Sal, buy you some!"Made no sense to me......now I'm wondering why you think it's some sort of family secret.......?
... it was a phrase used by my father (Our Fanny's father as well) whenever he wanted us to eat. I suspect it may have been an ad slogan in the thirties...
