Let's Eat!

It’s on the table!

Come and get it!

Mm-mm- good...

Chow down!

If you don’t eat I'm throwin’ it to the hogs!

Sit right down.

Lick ’m good Sal.

Everybody eats when they come to my house!

I heard this phrase today and wondered at it's meaning.

The quote I heard was
"Lick 'em good, Sal, buy you some!"

Made no sense to me......now I'm wondering why you think it's some sort of family secret.......?

... it was a phrase used by my father (Our Fanny's father as well) whenever he wanted us to eat. I suspect it may have been an ad slogan in the thirties...
