Hmmmm...

The WINTER PROJECT, as my amplifier restoration is known, has been energized for the first time.

The good news: It did not blow up or catch on fire.

The bad news: All it does is hum, and somewhat loudly at that.

Q: "What does one do when one's amp hums all the time?"

A: Teach it some words.

I'll try a few things over the week-end.

Electrocution is not on the agenda.

On a totally unrelated subject:

After reading your post about your old November cactus, I put one of mine in the downstairs loo, where there is a tiny window and no direct sunlight. It is just now starting to bloom, much to my delight. I thought you'd appreciate that.

Don't say your blogging has no influence, or that no one is paying attention.

I wonder if the flux capacitor may be the problem.
