Heima

You've seen those travel sites which have that tempting button that simply says:

BOOK NOW!

After a heart to heart with the Weaver (and a quick check of our finances), I did it. Garðastræti 40,  Apartment 90,  for five days in mid-October. Reykjavík, here we come!

Excellent rate! And right near the cemetery--more pics, please! We stayed just two blocks from there and loved that part of town. What did your flight cost?

You are the envy of the blogosphere, Batty! Could you sublet a closet, perhaps?

Mary ~ I couldn't thwart my dreams any longer.

Rose ~ With taxes, $656, I've got enough for one free flight (plus taxes) so the total for the two of us will be under $800.

Jon ~ If I win the lottery, I'll have all my faithful readers join us!

Cozy.

What is on the Weaver's list of things to do?

Blogger Professor Batty said...

Yarn shops, of course. The National Theatre, and who knows, I may even get her into a concert of two...

Komið fagnandi. The Weaver may also enjoy the National Museum.

K~ It will be a high time, indeed.
There will be a lot for her to see, so much has changed since she was there in 2000.

my parents stayed at that address back in spring 06 and loved it. Hopefully you get a view towards þingholt!

ECS~ it is in a wonderful neighborhood, I stayed there in '06 as well, although this time we'll have a proper bedroom, not just a studio.
