It's the End of the World as We Know It

I have a feeling that we'll be seeing more of this kind of news in the future. Funny what eight years of continuous warfare does to a society's priorities.
Update: The legislature came up with a funding package, a 1% sales tax increase, and just in time. The layoff notices had already been prepared and were ready to mail next week.

A sad irony that it is in Philadelphia, home of Ben Franklin- who was the founder of free lending libraries!
