How Did We Ever Survive?

Metropolitan Junior College, Minneapolis, 1970

No iPod, no laptop. No Gameboy. No internet. No video games.

No cell phone.

Nothing but a newspaper and a cup of Coca-cola.

A photo posted on facebook by an old friend from high school made me think of this very subject: The photo was taken of him in Europe, 1997, before everyone had a cell phone. He was posing for the photo while in the background you can see his friend using a phone booth. It made me think of when I was in Europe in 1998: Gone for a month, no cell phones, totally detached. It was an awesome feeling that I will probably never experience again.

To be honest, I was bored a lot at that college.

Until I discovered fornication.
