Spring Thaw Hubris

Poplar Creek, 2008

Winter is broken.

With a solid week of melting, and another on the way, this dreary winter has finally loosened its icy grip on the heartland. We usually (but not always) get one more big snow storm in March, but I DOUBT IT!

We've had the eeriest fogs this week. "Spot fogs" I call them. Over one field (where there is stills snow melting) or just for a mile or so on the highway, a dense dense fog, and then nothing. Then dense fog again.

I love it.
