    P. H. Kadey was a "chalk talk" artist and evangelist active in the Michigan area from the early 1900's until his death in 1965. He also illustrated anti-evolution pamphlets, some of which were distributed at the Scopes "Monkey Trial" in 1925. This early poster, found in a Colorado Springs antique store, was from about 1917.

   When I was young, I would occasionally be subjected to various "Christian" entertainments of this sort. I distinctly remember a ventriloquist, as well as several missionaries. Perhaps there was a "chalk talk" artist, although I may be getting that mixed up with a "flannel board" presenter.
