It's All Too Beautiful

Scenes from a midsummer day.

When we were so very young.

All we needed for entertainment was a flat-top guitar.

It was enough to just sit and be.

I feel inclined to blow my mind
Get hung up, feed the ducks with a bun
They all come out to groove about
Be nice and have fun in the sun

Halcyon days, weren't they.

It's funny...the only thing that dates these photos is the ketchup being in a glass bottle.

There's something I noticed right away about the color and saturation, and a slight fuzziness (or depth) that's missing with digital, but otherwise these lovely pics could as easily be from this year as 32 years ago!

I was fourteen going on fifteen that summer, and it was one of the best summers of my life : )

Jono~ I was wondering if anyone would get the Itchykoo Park reference.

Maria~ The images were tweaked in PS for color/density/saturation but the magical late afternoon light was what really created 'the look'.
