School Days

Once again, it is time to celebrate the life of the inspirational artist Wanda Gág, born this day in 1893.

Here are some images from her scrapbook. Wanda had many formal shots taken for her books and other promotional use, but these seldom-seen images are of a more personal nature from her school days at the Saint Paul, Minneapolis, and New York art school.. They are more light-hearted than the formal poses, featuring her home-made clothes and, of course, cats.
